CFDE offers two separate kinds of English support. Please choose the one that applies to you.
CFDE provides free community-based English learning support for eligible newcomers and low-income adults. Support may include conversation practice, pronunciation, speaking confidence, basic reading and writing, and employment-related English. Program availability depends on volunteer capacity and funding.
CFDE’s free ESL and newcomer-support program and the fee-based English courses have separate registration processes. Please select the option that applies to you.
Structured CLB, CELPIP, IELTS and CAEL courses are available for individuals seeking English instruction or test preparation. These are fee-based courses and are separate from CFDE’s free ESL and newcomer-support program.
